- the salvation army... every city has one...
- Terri's Consign and Design.
- Go to Craigs list, that is www.craigslist.org. Its nationwide and lots of "get rid of " stuff on there by homeowners.
- In Tucson: Speedway Boulevard--all kinds of furniture and antique places E. Grant Rd.--lots of antique and gently used furniture 4th Ave--even retro furniture Read the Shopper and the Dandy Dime--people are always selling furniture. Don't forget the STAR and the CITIZEN Yard sales/Estate sales---are plentiful in Tucson - all areas

- Check at your local donation stores, such as Goodwill and Salvation Army. They have excellant deals and the money is used to provide valuable services in your community.
- As mamabear included in her answer-estate sales. they have top quality stuff as a rule so get there early on. My daughter has gotten fabulous buys. Good thing I live in smalltown central Iowa or I would spend my life browsing/buying at them. You just might run across other items you can't resist because of quality and price. Often at sales you can dicker, but do that mainly at garage sales. They expect it. Some Estate sales take "bids"-that is very iffy though.
- Try auctions or estate sales. My last purhase at an auction was a china cabinet with glass fron(one was broken $7.00 repair) for $35.00. The cabinet was made in 1928. Auctions are huge in North Carolina and usually every weekend. I have purchased several boxes of things for $1.00
