- If it is antique, then a dealer or ebay. If it just furniture, then maybe craigslist, kijiji or buysell.com if there are ones in your area.
- Craigslist always works great for me!
- If it is by a top notch manufacturer (hooker, lexington, drexel heritage, thomasville, ethan allen, etc.) I would put it on consignment at an estate quality consignment shop. They will take a percentage when it is sold, but they advertise it, usually have an established clientel who know quality and will pay for it so you will get a better price than using the classifieds or craigslist.
- Try a local consignment shop.
- I have great luck with sending out pictures of stuff I'd like to sell to my email list and ask them to forward it. Other great options are a garage sale, eBay, Craigslist, or a local consignment store. Sometimes even the clothing one's will take furniture if it's in excellent condition.
- Ask the original buyer of the house if he's still interested? Oh, I just love/hate this thought.. Give it to a "worthy charity" that's unworthy and, claim the deductions on your income.. Good Luck~!
