What paint should I use to paint my bedroom furniture!?

I just bought a large bed and two bedside tables at an auction - practically new but the colours is a moss green and I really would prefer to paint the entire lot white - not sure what I need to do - I presume I have to sand, primer and then paint but my question is what type of paint do I look for - I dont want a glossy finish - any suggestions??

1. Yes sand to rough up the surface then prime and paint. Now I would suggest a satin finish to just get that hint of shine but also for easy cleaning. Read the instructions on the can to see how many feet it will cover, you will need 2 coats even with a primer. I like Benjamin Moore, Behr paints.
2. deffinatly satin, it's easy to wash, nice shine but not glossy. and if you buy Bens primer you will only need 1 coat of paint. have fun and enjoy your new BR outfit.
