how can I get a buildup of wax off an old piece of furniture?

I bought the furniture at an auction and it got rained on and the rain made the old wax streak so what should I do? Thank You, Brenda

1. Rub it with a product called Tung Oil with your bare fingers until it smooths it out and disappears. It's available where refinishing products are sold.
2. Sand furniture down with a low grit sandpaper. Then move to a high grit made for wood. Then wax i would prefer polyurethane for a glossy finish.
3. 50% turpentine and 50% linseed oil on a soft cloth...rub it in and wipe it off with a clean cloth...might take a few tries. Make sure you have good ventilation though!!! Good luck!
