what can i do to stop the city marshals from auctioning my furniture for lack of pmnt. (court ordered)?

financial institution sued me for $500. i promised the judge i would pay. i lost my job 3yrs ago. paid half/ or less than. i receive a notice saying i was going to have my furniture auctioned off to settle the debt. Now $3600. i have a couch. tv. bed. thats it. what can i do?

1. Pay the $3600. That's your only option.
2. Pay up-you've had ample time to do so and haven't. Why should you be allowed to visit your financial hardship on the store where the furniture was purchased?
3. Find out what your rights are. Unless you have an ultra expensive bed, they can't take it away. And they have to leave you with a table and chairs. They can probably take the couch and tv. I suggest you contact your local body who covers such things and see what you can keep and what they can take. Know your rights!
