Used Furnitures

I was in a furniture auction and I want to know if this is legal.?

At the end, auctioneer said they had more stock of everything auctioned. Now the prices where whatever the item sold for when it was being presented. The auction is just a front. They are really only trying to sell there stock but they set the price at what the item sold for. It's not right because bidders are made to believe they are bidding on an individual item. It's misleading from beginning to end.

  1. Nothing misleading about that at all. You are presented a product, and given an opportunity to choose the price you are willing to pay. I don't see anything wrong with that. The beauty of an auction is that it absolutely establishes the market value for that product in that place at that time.
