What are the advantages/disadvantages of buying used furniture online?

well I wanted to buy a dressing table and Ive found some really nice ones online, which are much cheaper and have local pickup, Ive never bought a significant purchase like furniture online so I was wondering what problems might arise from doing so, if you have bought used furniture online please share your experience :)

1. It is a tricky situation. U never know the quality of the used furniture and that too buying online is a gamble involving high risk. The main advantage will be its price. Its upto you to decide on it
2. Smells, hidden damage, outrageous price, poor quality, no warranty, There are no advantages. Used furniture stores are the places to get good stuff, not from private owners. Unfortunately, too many dishonest people.
