What is the scientific name of palochina (pinewood)? The one usually used for light furnitures.?

- Cassia alata Common names include katanda (Tagalog); andadasi (Ilokano); palochina (Bisaya); ringworm bush, seven golden candlesticks, bayabas-bayabasan I disagree with the Cassia obtusifolia suggestion; do a Google image search and that species is much too small to produce usable timber.
- Unfortunately this plant has at least two scientific names, but the most widely used is probably Cassia obtusifolia.
