Where to find antique used furniture?

I have bought a house recently. I would LOVE to decorate it with antique furnitures. But I am low on budget as well (after paying for the house) Can anybody tell me where can I find some used antique furnitures in detroit area? Thanks a lot for your help.

1. Check the local paper for estate sales and auctions. Good luck.
2. eBay is always an option. You could check your town noticeboard for flea markets and antique sales. My friends house is FULL of antique stuff and she just gets them from a local carboot sale!
3. Ask around and look for flea markets! Go to garage sales but get out early, early to get the antiques! Dealers are out by 6:00 am looking to get the deals on antiques. I used to go the night before and if they aren't to busy, they will let you in! Go to Estate/Tag sales. Usually they go half off the second day or at noon or 1:00 if it's a one day sale and you can usually leave a bid on something if you really like it. Check the antique malls for sales. Have fun hunting for just the perfect items to go in your home!!
4. I buy a lot of antiques on the cheap and here are some of my tips. Peruse the garage sale classifieds in upscale zip codes, look especially for estate sales or moving sales as elderly people downsize. Check out the consignment and thrift stores in your area regularly. Make friends with the clerks so that they know what you are looking for and can alert you when they get in a new shipment of something you may be interested in. Check out salvage yards and stores because you sometimes find great antiques and pieces of buildings that were torn down that you can turn into tables and other furniture.

I wasn't able to find a place that is basically consignment for furniture. If you want to drive 3 hours, there is an antique co-op in Painesville OH (30 miles east of Cleveland). I just bought all my furniture there. Really great furniture, still in excellent condition. Plus since it's old, it's usually made better and will last longer. Bring a huge truck because there are really great deals. I got a wing back chair for $30 and a plush chair for $50. They have really great outdoor furniture, couches, desks, end tables, dining room tables, mirrors, lamps, dinnerware, glasseware, everything. Plus people sell their crafts and furniture that they have made themselves.
6. Flea markets, thrift shops, garage sales, estate sales, antique stores. Garage sales are usually the best, i always go for the old part of town. Alot of older people seem to live in that area, they don't have alot of money, or the 50+ year accumulation where the person died and their babyboomer children move in like vultures and want nothing to do with anything that you can't throw out in a couple years and spend another fortune on to replace. They usually have no regard and just want rid of what they call junk.
7. Auctions, Auctions, and more auctions! I go to a local auction barn every two weeks in PA. When you see an ad that also advertises "box lots" along with the auction--GO FOR IT! I have treasures that I've paid as little as $2.00 for! Everyone that comes into our cabin and checks it out cannot believe that I am called the "$5.00" queen at the auction because rarely do I go over $5.00 with my bid. Don't be afraid to re-purpose newer pieces. I got a 3 pc Broyhill entertainment center for $22 and have one piece painted tomato red (use it as a craft center)-in another room, the 2nd piece is painted barn red and I removed doors, etc. and replaced with an antique screen door (from a dumpster) and houses the tv, vcr, etc. in a bedroom. The third piece is painted decoratively and is used in my screened in porch to hold wine glasses, some old watering cans and the drawers hold place mats, napkins, etc. needed for serving out on the porch.
