Can you give ideas on on-line auctions, wholesales, and inexpensive furniture besides the obvious? Love overstock, Amazon,and dislike ebay. Do you have suggestions on sites like these that ARE HONEST where office furniture is auctioned or sold? Do not get mad and huffy about this being in this catigory because this seems to fit better than any other. Office furniture is used for entertainment with computer and you would not see this question had it been some place else. Be good.

I was in a furniture auction and I want to know if this is legal.? At the end, auctioneer said they had more stock of everything auctioned. Now the prices where whatever the item sold for when it was being presented. The auction is just a front. They are really only trying to sell there stock but they set the price at what the item sold for. It's not right because bidders are made to believe they are bidding on an individual item. It's misleading from beginning to end.

Where do antique stores find their vintage furniture? there is a store just along my street that sells some incredible 19th and 20th century furniture. however, I cannot afford many of the pieces. whenever I browse the store, I wonder where exactly the owner finds these amazing pieces. One of my ancestors, Alexander Hamilton Shrenk owned a store (furniture & auction) sometime 1890-1920s at 325 Broad & 406 Forster in Harrisburg PA and 325 Broad 1906 N 6th in Harrisburg PA and also a furniture store at 181 S Front Hbg Steelton PA about 1890.
